I am planning on doing a 10 day solo paddle in late September starting at Allanwater bridge drop.  I want to go Allanwater to Wabikimi Lake, then Ogoki River to Whitewater.  

What are the pros and cons of taking Berg River to Smoothrock vs. going across Whitewater and down to Smoothrock via McKinley Lake?

From Smoothrock I'd head to little caribou and out.  Feasible in 10 days?  I'm an experienced paddler with 25 years of paddling trips in Ontario and Alaska, however I've never been to the Wabikimi.
