Description

Pashkokogan Lake, Shoe Creek to Davies Lake, Palisade River, Redman Lake to Rockliff Lake, Greenbush to Pashkokogan. (PDF download) This is one of the few routes that connects to Wabakimi Provincial Park from the West. Drive north on Highway 599 to the Pashkokogan Lake access point This route actually consists of two loops: - The original loop from Pashkokogan Lake via McCrea and Shoe Lakes to Davies Lake and then returning through Metig and Greenbush Lakes to Pashkokogan. For a 120km 5 - 6-day trip. - We have since added an extended loop from Davies Lake to Burntrock , including a section of the Palisade River to Webster Creek and Redman Lake, continuing west via Late Lake and Rockliff Lake and rejoining the Metig, Greenbush return to Pashkokogan Lake. The extended loop adds 65kms for an extra 3 days. The start of the portage from Davies to Timon Lake can be a little tricky to find. For your interest, we have shown the Palisade River right to Kenoji Lake which connects to the Ogoki River, Whitewater Lake etc. These maps were created by Laurence Mills based on his and others' years of exploration. Formerly sold on his wabakimimaps.com site, he has provided these to Friends of Wabakimi to sell as digital downloads. You are encouraged to print and laminate these for use when paddling. You may wish to compare these to similar FOW maps found in the Volume I-V series.
